Check the listing details
Confirm the model, storage, repairs, included charger or box, and any faults. Ask for clearer photos when needed. Listing approval does not establish ownership or brand authenticity.
Try the phone in person
Meet in a familiar public place. Test touch response, cameras, microphone, speakers, charging, Wi-Fi and the network you need. Check for unusual heat during use and do not rely only on claims about battery health.
Account locks and personal data
Ask the seller to remove personal Apple/Google and other accounts, then verify the phone is usable after handover. Do not publish identity documents, sensitive device identifiers or OTPs, and never disclose an OTP to a stranger.
Pay after inspection
Do not send an advance to an unknown seller before checking the item and terms. Keep your own record of the agreed price and included items. Stop if something seems wrong and use the listing's report action.
